ETERNAL BLISS

Bliss is dynamic fulfillment throughout all change.

Although eternal bliss may not be the final goal, it is a good start.

THE VALLEY

This feminine earth card means rest from turbulence.

Or the valley could be the paradise of the harmonious realms -- the hidden valleys of Shambhala.

WAIT

You may feel that you are losing your patience. Things are still not working out. But we do not have to be confined in long cycles of time and in space as big as galaxies. A certain gestation period is required before the complete satisfaction of all your wildest desires.

THIS MAY NOT BE A PERFECT CIRCLE BUT IT IS A PERFECT ... WHATEVER IT IS

Comparison is not true perception. The nature of reality can be known through direct revelation.

MUSHROOM

Expansion.

An intricate, geometrical color realm lays way beyond the highest mountain, far to the southeast. It is a space of wonder and awe, where the gods and goddesses reveal their presence.

Generally, mushrooms are considered a mystical food, and so the appearance of this card in a reading could be a greeting from higher realms.

Often the mushroom refers to the goddess, the spirit of the forest, the little people, and other such creatures. The mushroom may also represent a phallic symbol and a source of power.

AWAIT FURTHER ORDERS

Although the message is torn, more data is coming, and it will clarify what your next move should be. However, you may have hooked into a superficial guidance system that is not really relevant to your basic being.

THE DREAM

The waking dream is not contained in the head of a dreamer, nor is it outside of reality, nor is it in any unknowable space.

DOES CONSCIOUSNESS RING A BELL?

No, she honks a horn.

In a reading this card indicates a specific factor in your situation that will provide great clarity when you become aware of it.

Also, the question is posed: "Does awareness, in itself, act?"

YOU ARE EXPERIENCING AN ILLEGITIMATE FEELING

This statement is an absurdity, for there are no illegal feelings. In a reading, this card may indicate that you are experiencing a negative emotion which will disappear when you realize negativity is not necessary. Focus attention on your feelings and experiences-get in touch with yourself.

THE ONE MIND IS ROOTLESS AND FOUNDATIONLESS

There are no absolute truths to cling to. No matter how certain of yourself you are, time brings change through experience.

As far as there being an "ultimate reality" behind appearances, even the concept of mind itself is incorrect in that it implies a reality or form beyond the nature of what is.

All form is ultimately arbitrary and can be pushed in any direction or manner we choose, provided we are aware enough to make a choice.

The source of divine inspiration is not the intellect. In fact, there is no source, but investigation brings us closer to true vision.

IT IS NOT WHAT YOU DO THAT COUNTS, IT IS WHERE YOUR HEAD IS AT

Negative feelings or emotions are useless in themselves. Negative attitudes can become positive if one realizes that it is not actions or deeds in themselves that have value, but rather the way one feels. This is not to say actions can be independent of feelings. Harmful actions breed negativity.

In general, a positive attitude brings more favorable results and as long as you can be objective, your circumstances will not make you anxious or depressed. You have the power to remove negative feelings and replace them with positive ones.

AWAKE!

Perhaps you are not aware of the important aspects of your situation. When you gain another perspective, many matters will be seen clearly for the first time. Perhaps there is no limit to these revelations.

DON'T WORRY, YOU CAN DO NO WRONG

In the context of a reading, this card often means that you cannot fail in your present situation. Whatever you decide to do will benefit the project you have in mind.

The present confusion is part of a divine plan.

WHO AM I?

The question, "Who am I?" can be a very effective meditation tool. Contemplating the possible answers without clinging to any particular solution expands awareness to an unlimited degree.

YOU ARE A PAWN

You may feel that you are being manipulated by a higher, more clever intelligence. In reality, nobody is doing anything to anybody. We're all here together, although the rational conscious may not realize it.

THERE ARE NO MISTEAKS

The ancient Chinese said this to each other before business negotiations.

Whatever happens on the relative plane, the cosmos as a whole makes no errors. The uncreated, unborn and unmade always provide new alternatives. There is no possibility of ever straying from the path, whatever its turns may be.

This is not a license to do anything but an assertion that the ego or the illusion of ego tends to create problems.

TRANSMUTATION THROUGH UNION OF OPPOSITES

Tension, when not resisted, can be changed into positivity. A higher state can be attained by mixing different and even opposing energies. Yin and yang or positive and negative energies can always be mingled, as they are universally present.

The Whirling Golden Wheel

This is the symbol of all that is constantly turning and cannot be understood. Awareness of the whirling golden wheel allows the rider to relax in spite of the inevitable friction.

FROM HERE ON IT'S NOTHING BUT A DOWNHILL RUN

It is a total coast from here to enlightenment and total liberation. Cut the strain and flow into what is. Buddha will watch over the situation.

THINK ABOUT IT FOR AWHILE

There is more happening than you realize. Contemplate the situation deeply.

There are many states that require no intellectual effort to maintain, such as breathing, eating, dealing with the pressure of gravity, etc. In other words, our conscious activities are not directed toward the maintenance of the physical body.

However, we may have occasional glimpses of higher levels of consciousness. There may be, in those higher realms, enduring joy, peace and realization. Rational and intellectual means may guide us to the beginning of our journey.

The goal is postulated as eternal bliss and the task is to channel the universe into our consciousness by means that will become clearer as the cosmos and this instruction booklet unfold. The dancer cannot wait for the philosopher or even the historical poet. And the creative principle cannot be named.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

In alchemy, there exists the concept of the "Great Work," the conscious quest for the philosophers' stone, or ultimate realization. Although it usually becomes apparent that on the path all tasks and goals are absurd, at another point on the spiral, doing a useless task with a sense of purpose produces surprising results. With the proper method the stone is produced.

IT'S A DOG EAT DOG FOOD WORLD

In the realm of constant concern about how to survive, it's nice to know the methods, but being in that realm is often the result of directing enormous amounts of energy toward believing you are there.

Overwhelming anxiety about being stuck tends to perpetuate the situation.

Do Not Meddle In the Affairs of Wizards--

Put another way, do not attempt to take advanced calculus before mastering elementary arithmetic. This advice is for those of you who are considering magic and/or the occult as a career.

This is the symbol of all that is constantly turning and cannot be understood. Awareness of the whirling golden wheel allows the rider to relax in spite of the inevitable friction.

Wordless

Despite the obvious function of symbols, direct revelation has the primal place in realization. There are many means of communication that do not involve words, and the appearance of this card in a reading might mean that nonverbal messages are being sent.
